I often write about how important pre-show promotion is for an exhibiting company. Lately, I've been collecting interesting ideas of ways to promote your presence before the show, so that high value prospects and customers don't miss meeting and talking with you.

Below are some quick favorites, and links to more.

Use humor or mystery, promoting a game or a 1/2 and 1/2 promotion ( send prospect 1/2 of something and give them the other 1/2 at the booth)

Direct mail ( as in snail mail) - Bring the postcard to the booth to redeem something

Invite them to a demo, speaker, round table, party, networking

Email signature - include info on the show

Google Adwords - Place ads on show name or key words 

Linkedin Adwords - Similar to Google - sponsored updates, custom images, sign up for demo, speaker, networking 

Social Media - Promote presence, invite with an incentive, 
        "Like" and "follow" trade show hashtag and other key players/speakers,
        Promote show presence on Company Facebook page,
        Create a short (30 sec) video - testimonials, what company is promoting,
            video blog - use before show, at show, post show on SM as well
Blog - Leverage your company blog to promote your presence.
