6 Ways to Boost Your Exhibit Results
Are you doing all you can to make the most of your trade show investment? Check out the following 6 ideas and think about implementing those that you haven't been doing. They're proven winners!
1. Hand out a fact sheet, not a brochure, that highlights your key products/benefits. Most people have good intentions, but don't have the time to go through everything they bring back from a show. Make it short and simple!
2. Identify the influencers - Ask visitors for the name of other decision makers in their company to boost your follow-up impact.
3. Invest in pre-show mailings - Direct mail promotions can lead to 1/3 more ready and interested prospects. Some promotions are better than others - always best to tie the promotion to your product/service and make them come to your booth to get it!
4. Make your booth welcoming - Don't have barriers - create an inviting friendly discussion area to increase interaction. In other words, no tables along the front of the booth, please!
5. Dress for Success - Business suits can be too intimidating, but dress too casually and you may lose credibility. Know your show and your audience.
6. Stay open for the late shoppers - Your most serious prospects might be those racing through the exhibit hall just before it closes. I know it's hard, but try to maintain your enthusiasm and energy even beyond the end!

Our Computer went down... Our voice mail computer, that is, on March 29, so if you called our office that day, the phone just rang and rang and rang! We apologize for any inconvenience to our clients before we were able to get it repaired by the end of that day. Even with e-mail, the phone is still a lifeline in our business as well as our personal lives.

Tip of the Month...
Put a picture of your display on your website or in newsletters or other promo items that are sent out before a show. The display is then familiar to the attendees and it makes it easier to find!
I realized that this works when, at the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce Biggest Business After Hours last week, many people came up to me and said that they had seen my picture in the paper that morning. I was standing in front of the display, as the paper had shown, and I'm sure they recognized the display before they recognized me.
